Pacific Crest Trail

The Pacific Crest Trail is the jewel in the crown of America's scenic trails. It spans 2,650 miles from Mexico to Canada through three western states and follows the western edge of the Winema National Forest the full length of the Forest, except for a segment that traverses Crater Lake National Park. The Winema National Forest offers several nice entry points including Miller Lake, Fourmile Lake and the trailhead on Highway 140 west of Klamath Falls (near Fish Lake and Lake of the Woods).

There are more than 90 miles of trails leading into the backcountry of Crater Lake National Park

Mount McLoughlin Trail

Located within the Sky Lakes Wilderness (see below) the 5.5 mile long trail to the summit of Mt. McLoughlin winds through rocky terrain and ascends from 5600 ft to the summit at 9495 ft.

Sky Lakes Wilderness

Sky Lakes Wilderness, designated by Congress in 1984, is a land of lakes, rocky ridges, and timbered slopes. It's 113,590 acres straddles southern Oregon's Cascade Range from Crater Lake National Park southward to Highway 140.
